Empowering future-ready graduates
Technological advances impacting internationalization in higher education
New modalities in global engagement and mobility
International research competition and collaboration
HigherEdMe is creating tools and services to facilitate the international mobility of students and the work of recruiters. We believe we can play our game in the first 3 themes. In April, we are deploying 3 new features on our study abroad matchmaking platform.
#chatbot: students will record their study abroad wish by a conversation on messenger, with greater flexibility (the bot recognize the city, country, understands the study theme family) and precision (getting information already stored), without having to enter the platform, in order to limit friction, losing connections, understanding a new environment);
#parentalengagement: their parents, close friends and favorite teachers will be able to receive a copy of the contact requests sent by the recruiters, in order to give their opinion. The idea is to help them manage their positive influence and embedded them into the project of the student.
#export: accepted contacts are exportable by recruiters for a better follow-up till admissions. Student hate to repeat their curriculum again and again, so we are making this process easy.
With these new features, we hope to be among the technological breakthroughs in international higher education, and to give students more opportunities to achieve their mobility, in order to acquire the skills necessary for their professional integration in this fast-changing world.
Thanks to all APAIE participants and to the organisation team. See you in Kuala Lumpur in 2019 for the next edition of the conference.
