What is a chat bot?

The aim of a chat bot is to give a first level of information and orientation on Messenger to students asking questions.

In the field of international higher education, chat bots can be very useful as it represents the next generation of interactions needed before admissions.

A chat bot brings many advantages:

-it is instant: it answers questions right away

-it is comprehensive: it will know all your programs in detail

-it saves time and stays focused: sorts and qualifies cases, collects data and stores it where you need.

Choosing your level of interaction

HigherEdMe receives a lot of questions on its Facebook page. It is very energy-consuming for the team to answer each question individually, and usually, students don’t read FAQ. 80% of the questions are always the same: “is it free?”, “do you provide scholarships”, “where can I study”. So the company decided to create 2 level of chat bots :

-a simple orientation chat bot that aims at answering these recurrent questions and forwards the ones that are not understandable to our community manager.

-an intelligent chat bot that qualifies the lead, collecting pre-admission information with the consent of the student, notifies the student about the status of his admission, missing documents, advice.

Simple orientation bot

The strategy of this first-level bot is to direct Facebook page visitors to existing content that can answer their most common questions or collect their request to be sent to the recruiter.

Discussions are in the form of closed questions and suggested answers with buttons or fields to be filled. Conditions of operation apply to stay simple, efficient and affordable (less than $2.000 to set-up).

Language: the bot will be set up for 1 language (English/French). Multiple languages are available upon request.

Access:  the bot has to have access to the Facebook Page to be integrated.

Duration: the bot will be in place for one year.

Limits: the bot will be able to handle 36 questions/answers.

Results: all unfinished conversations stay in messenger. All finished conversations are sent as an email alert to the destination of your choice, and stocked in an XLS exportable file, on demand.

Intelligent qualification bot

This 2nd-level bot aims at converting Facebook page visitors into study abroad candidates and prepare key pre-admission takeaways for the sought recruiter.

Discussions are directed by the bot that completes fields and informs the student about any questions he/she might have. Conditions of operation apply to be achievable. Pricing depends on the number of parameters to handle and on the number of questions needed for lead qualification.

Language: the bot will be set-up for 1 language (English/French). Multiple languages are available upon request.

Access:  the bot has to have access to the Facebook Page to be integrated.

Duration: the bot will be in place for one year.

Limits: the bot will be able to handle a set of 150 questions/answers.

Results: all unfinished conversations stay in messenger. All finished conversations are sent as an email alert to the destination of your choice, and stocked in an XLS exportable file, on demand.
