Founded in 1947 as an organization dedicated to supporting and developing the fine arts, today Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP university) has grown into one of the most important and respected academic institutions in Brazil, with over 13,000 students and 750 professors. FAAP is home to undergraduate schools of fine art, business, communications, law, economics, engineering and computer science.
